Sitting all alone in a parked car
Singing out low how’d you drift so far
I’ve never wanted anything more
Than to hold you in my arms so close
You know every fear
You know more than most
The memories beat in my broken heart
Pulsing & pulling me down, it’s heavy
I can’t sleep without your body next to me
I miss the rush from the touch of our skin
Melting into one through waves of pure bliss
I never thought it would ever come to this
Picking up the pieces of my heart
Listening to tragic ballads of melodies
Sitting all alone in a parked car

When I have a hard time breathin’ slow
you wrap your arms around me
Your embrace is my escape so I can fold
Sometimes good things fall apart
So better things can come together

It’s a mystery how you do it
Always pulling me up from ruins
Giving me strength to build a future
You’re the one that keeps me moving
You’re my lightning over a dark sea
Your love is a beacon guiding the way
So I can forever feel safe
Even while the storm rages & I’m not okay
Your beautiful embrace is my sacred place
